HB 1239 is scheduled for a public hearing in the House Appropriations Committee tomorrow (Saturday Feb. 3) at 9 a.m. Here’s how you can help:
Sign in pro (takes 30 seconds)
Send in written testimony (takes 5 minutes)
Sign up to testify remotely (takes 30-90 minutes)
The House Education Committee will then meet in the coming week or two in an executive session (not open to public comment) to discuss the bill. Legislators can propose amendments to be voted on by the members of the committee.
Our goal right now is to get the bill to the House floor for a vote.
